My name is Adrian Pearson, I am a chartered accountant and founder of Pearson & Associates, based in Skipton, North Yorkshire in the UK. Pearson & Associates provides a full range of accountancy, employment law, human resource and financial services to small businesses and their owners.
The purpose of this weblog is to discuss issues that are important to us as we grow our practice, particularly new developments in web-based software and the Internet as a business tool generally. I hope to make my readers aware of opportunities and potential pitfalls, helping fellow travellers who are making the journey to becoming a firm of the future. There is also a (slightly) commercial reason for this blog. I have an interest in some other businesses that provide useful software and services to independent accountancy practices. I plan to market these from a sister website at www.topaccountants.com, and hope that my efforts on this blog might lead a few more visitors to that site.
